The 2011 Tax Rolls will be available for review at both offices starting August 1-15th (excluding weekends). Office hours are 9:00am to 4:00 pm. I will be available in the Algiers' Courthouse during this time.

Appointments are not available, as we work on a "first come, first serve " basis. You may also review your assessment on this website.

As you may know, there will be ONE Assessor for Orleans Parish beginning on January 1st, 2011. Assessor Erroll Williams (currently the 3rd District Assessor) was elected to be the one Assessor.

I want to thank all the wonderful people of Algiers whom I have been fortunate to serve since September of 1984; It has been both an honor and a pleasure.  Many of us have become friends over the years and I will cherish these friendships for the rest of my life.

  As your Assessor, I have always tried to be professional and fair to our property owners.  I have fought, with success to protect your Homestead Exemption, sponsored your Senior Citizen & Handicap assessment freeze and fought any tax or fee (such as Mayor Marc Morial’s square foot fee). 

Algerines have always loved the City of New Orleans understand that revenue is needed to provide for city services and have paid more than their fair share over the years.

You have a new councilperson in Kristen Palmer, and I ask that you, as will I, support Mrs. Palmer in her efforts to improve our community and our quality of life.
